tax REFORM
Monetary policy for a changing economy
Lower taxes for all Americans.
Lower taxes: this promise has long been made by many candidates, but only my plan will foster success. It’s simple: tackle inefficiency.
One of the hallmarks of our economy is competition. It forces one to innovate, to streamline, to get the most bang for one’s buck. But right now, government agencies misuse funds because they are not subject to competitive pressures. That ends with my incentive program that’ll make the government responsible for its spending and reward agencies that come in under budget at the end of each year. With more efficient spending, we’ll have the ability to lower tax rates while maintaining our government’s crucial programs and services. All in all, the result will be simple: a government that truly serves you.

Hold the military accountable for its excessive spending.
In 2015, the United States spent over $598.5 billion on its military. That’s over 54 percent of all federal spending for that year, and the military budget has only continued to increase. While this spending has yielded clear benefits, most notably, our position as the world’s greatest superpower, there’s much inefficiency that we can streamline.
Take the extensive costs of today’s military, for instance. We can’t afford to decrease the scope of our military in this day and age. Doing so would be an invitation to foreign aggression. But what we can do is reduce the costs of military materials and equipment. As president, I’ll promote cooperation with competitive private military contractors who, in an effort to maintain their business reputation and secure future contracts, will use less resources to get the job done and get it done right. These money will be used in conjunction with other plans which require additional funding.

Offer tax incentives for environmentally friendly companies.
My plan to reward environmentally friendly businesses with tax benefits will not only help keep job-rich corporations in America, protecting the environment and nurturing a successful economy that can and will compete with Chinese manufacturing on the global stage. I plan to raise tax credits up to 45 percent for purchases of solar panels, hydrogen fuel cells, and wind turbines by registered businesses.
